Kaitieke School first opened in 1913. The history in this area is rich, facinating and lives on in lots of the families that have stayed down the valley over several generations. The school and the Community Hall are the hub of our amazing community.
We love celebrating the outdoors, exploring, trying, challenging ourselves and supporting each other. The out doors is our playground with limitless opportunities - from skiing, pest control, planting, and much more - just the way it should be!
Our small classroom numbers mean that every child gets 5 days a week of fantastic learning opportunities, and this is seen in our data. We share our learning each term with our community and it is common to see our families supporting us in a working bee, or joining us for a showcase of mahi followed by a potluck dinner.
We have an open door policy and welcome you to pop in anytime.
